To be fair, Aku is a sorcerer. And this

is an altar.

Considering Buddhism is Jack’s religion, it makes sense that the religion of Aku (or the satanic figure) would be an inversion/corruption of Buddhism (instead of Christianity). We already know that Aku’s statue looks extremely similar to the Buddha seen elsewhere in the show.

And these statues even served a similar purpose; holding “divine” weapons

Also found this kind of interesting too…….from “Jack and the Haunted House”

ANYWAY Aku basically gave them his equivalent of holy water, which…you’re not really supposed to drink.

I did find something on wikipedia lol, bold text is mine:

The idea of “blessed water” is used in virtually all Buddhist traditions. In the Theravada tradition, water is put into a new pot and kept near a Paritrana ceremony, a blessing for protection. This “lustral water” can be created in a ceremony in which the burning and extinction of a candle above the water represents the elements of earth, fire, and air.[33] This water is later given to the people to be kept in their home. Not only water but also oil and strings are blessed in this ceremony.

lmfao “lustral water”

SO……it’s possible Aku just assumed they were going to keep it and worship it, and considering Aku’s essence even in small amounts can eventually regenerate into a full clone of Aku, he might have literally intended to leave them with “the original”, a part of him they could worship that would eventually become their own personal Aku?

It makes me think that Aku’s “But how? I never…” was supposed to be “never gave my essence to anyone…at least, anyone human” but then he remembered that he did….to a cult that he knew was all-female.

Then added to the fact that Aku doesn’t seem to know about what happened to Jack in “The Aku Infection”, he might not be aware of what actually ingesting his essence does.

And he proooooobably doesn’t know how human babby is formed, but knows belly happens, so all of this may be why he just assumes she drank it.

Which is funny as fuck by the way like

“There was that one time! So she must have………… drank it? …….and then here you are, a true daughter of Aku” like LMAO he has nooo idea how she pulled that shit off
