“Aw hell naw! Of course no one’s better than you, you’re a far greater evil than that jerk will ever be!” Alysa said with a huff.
It definitely annoyed her to no end that someone would dare to talk down to someone as great as Aku. “I believe in you Aku, you’re awesome and you know it.”
To hear her speak so highly of him and with such conviction despite his current weakened state brought Aku a renewed sense of assurance. He could almost feel his regeneration process speeding up.
“Yes I do,” he grinned proudly. It was then he began to smell the tea brewing from another room and his tiny nose sniffed the air. “But enough about him. I look forward to your tea.”
“is that so? Mmmmmh…” Aku stroked his beard between his claws. There were a number of people and things he’d like destroyed but the question was where to start. It would be a shame to waste such chaotic aggression.
“Perhaps I should compile a list for you.”
“Perfect!I’ll be waiting!”
As the girl was speaking, the black mass from her demonic arm began to spread on her torso and neck.
Her anger was so intense that she was capable of destroying almost anything.
“Huh?” Noting the spread, the demon bent closer for a better look.
It would make sense, wouldn’t it? It would be so easy, right? Aku could just find some other world, since it’s already been established that he’s capable of fast interstellar travel and dimension-hopping. And even BEFORE Jack arrived in the future, it’s clear that Aku saw and overtook many worlds in the thousand years he had carte blanche. Maybe he did consider it once or twice.
The real explanation is that Aku doesn’t WANT to leave Earth. He’s attached to his home, in a sick way. It’s the world he molded for himself.
Paraphrased:
THIS^
Aku busted his Eldritch ass trying to get unstuck from this planet and then conquering it as soon as he was free. He put a lot of time and energy into spreading fear and despair and forcing all the world’s inhabitants to bow before him. You get the sense that Earth is his headquarters and he considers it HIS to own and do with as he pleases. Noway would he give that up. It would be like leaving his throne and everything he worked for behind. No, Aku is stubborn and he clings tenaciously to what’s his.
I also sort of wonder if Aku is bound to Earth because large parts of him are still buried inside the planet from the day he impacted on it. I have a bit of a theory that throughout the show, most of Aku is under the Earth’s surface and that’s how his towers pop up in different locations all over the world at random times. Maybe the Pit of Hate is a leftover part of Aku that isn’t sentient but is like a surplus energy he can still use if and when he needs to. It could also explain how he regenerates so quickly after getting cut down so small by Jack.
