“Your costume meets my approval, child. Here is your prize.” Have a giant candy-corn popcorn ball.

“Ahh!! Thank you! I should share this with Dadd- wait… no… thats not what Aku would do.”

“He’d eat it all to himself! Daddy doesn’t like Candy Corn anyway.

This brought a grin to the demon lord’s face.

That is correct. Already you have the makings of a true villain, small one.

… Do not even  t h i n k  of coming to the lair of  A K U  to steal from his hoard of  c a n d y …

Guess who just snagged an entire fistful.

I didn’t think of it. YOU thought of it.

And just like that, a dark tendril reached out, wrapping around the wrists of his other self.

Then surely you know that there is no way to escape
the R E P E R C U S S I O N  of  A K U .

For an ordinary mortal that is certainly so,” the demon spoke, a wicked grin upon his face. “But I am afraid you have met your match!

He flexed his claws and raised them skyward. By magical forces, all the candy rose into the air and began to swirl around the room in a confectionery typhoon.

“Azura is already a princess. She is MY daughter.”

“So are you claiming her an Heir to your kingdom, despite you own daughters before you? Think carefully. Think what power that creates.”

“—!!

Aku flinched as if he’d just been sprayed in the face with cold holy water.

NO DAUGHTER OF MINE SHALL EVER SERVE AS YOUR BATTERY PACK, YOU DETESTABLE TIN CAN!

“Sure. At least I now know I’m more evil than the shifting lord of darkness himself. So that’s a plus in my book.” If the big bad demon is calling you detestable, then you are doing good as a villain.

Pshah! I have enslaved countless princesses in my time. I simply meant you will not be making power sources of my daughters.

But as irate as he might be, Aku still couldn’t help his curiosity.

Now about these princess power sources…” he began, leaning slightly closer. “Is it their royal blood that acts as fuel or is it their righteousness of spirit?”

Imagine Dadku introducing his young daughters to Halloween for the first time. They’d each get a pumpkin to carve so there’s 7 little jack-o-lanterns and one giant Aku jack-o-lantern in the middle. Ashi, of course, wants to dress up as a ladybug or a butterfly, though costumes would be pretty interchangeable considering they’re all little shapeshifters.

And when it comes time for trick-or-treating, the girls don’t really know what to do at first so they just hold out their bags and stare silently at the person handing out candy for an uncomfortably long moment. Then, in unison, they all say “trick-or-treat” in a creepy monotone voice. But they’d get the hang of it soon enough and start having fun once they realize it’s supposed to be fun.

Then Dadku would take them to a “haunted” house or maze and when a dummy clown pops out, their first reaction is to attack it because child warrior training. And finally haunted wagon ride complete with Aku being his excessively dramatic self and making the wagon fly. He’d make sure to instill in them a proper love for Halloween.
