Casper tensed a bit at that question and looked down. “…Yeah.” she admitted. “It’s become the norm I guess. My fiancee thinks I should go to a hospital, he doesn’t believe I actually interact with or even see monsters.”
“Bring him to me,” Aku spoke in a dangerous tone over his tea. “I will make him do more than believe and I will show no mercy.”
“Sorry, I haven’t, he came to my apartment after I found him as a puddle somewhere. Was kind of embarrassing, my place is a mess.” She muttered the last part mostly to herself.
Aku settled back into his seat with a low rumble. He would have to find the doctor’s laboratory himself.
Aku stood back and watched as his other self flung the mug off into a time portal… Maybe if they were both lucky, it would end up flying into the Samurai’s face.
“You may have one — ONE — dance with her if you can prove yourself worthy of her presence.”
Flug: Um excuse me, but i believe I was the one outside of your daughters room blaring 80′s power ballads and tossing pebbles at her window. /I’m/ taking her to prom.
To be fair, I think Aku would be the one who would stop her from going to prom, while Gaster is the other. He has a thing with chocolates so he’s the most likely suspect. Also Aku is like a dad to her at this point!
Aku: “NO, AZURA. You will NOT be going to the prom with Gaster!”
Aku: “You will be attending with ME, your father and chaperone.”
While her sisters slept peacefully, Ashi squirmed and whimpered in her bed. She was having a nightmare – focusing on her mother specifically. The girl wasn’t a stranger to bad dreams, but they had become more frequent once she found out she and her sisters would be returning to the cult for periodic training. Life was so much better with her father – she didn’t want to go back, even if it was just for a little bit.
Ashi curled into a ball as a few tears leaked from her eyes.
As he watched his daughters sleep, Aku soon noticed that Ashi was stirring in distress. Like a large concerned shadow, he drifted quickly and soundlessly to her bedside. What was wrong? Was she falling ill like the talking scale had said? Was she being attacked by unseen forces? Her whimpers sounded frightened.
Aku bent closer but he saw nothing there that would cause her to whimper and cry. What was a dad to do? Gently, his claws touched her curled back.
“Ashi?” he whispered as softly as he could. “…Child?”
