“Okay” Alysa looked around her room and then looked back at Aku “So umm, can I get you anything? A snack? Drink?”
Aku thought for a moment, then looked up at her with his round eyes.
“Perhaps a hot tea?”
“You got it” Alysa gave him a thumbs up. “I’ll be right back, so hang tight” she then leaves the room and walks into the kitchen to prepare the tea.
While Alysa prepared the tea, the small puddle of darkness that was Aku made himself comfortable beneath the covers of the bed. By now he was fairly convinced the god had stopped looking for him but he still shuddered now and then as thunder continued to crash outside and rain pelted the windows.
Flug had his experience with Dementia attacking him head on, and while he was anticipating retaliation he didn’t quite make it out of dodge completely. His arm took a heavy burn to his upper arm.
Of course, he wasn’t a fighter, he let his work do the damage for him, so the second Aku started breathing fire at him again Flug took off running, clutching his injury.
But the last of Aku’s fury had yet to be seen. The fire stopped but now his eyes blazed with a hot glow. As the scientist fled, the ground exploded behind him and around him where the laser blasts struck. Aku wanted to make him suffer, he wanted to make him pay for the pain he had inflicted.
However, at the moment the need to lie down and rest was overwhelming. Pain was exhausting, after all. Now that he had Flug on the run, Aku turned to the severed pieced of him that lay paralyzed on the ground. With a zap of his eyebeams, he teleported the tendril away to a safer location (perhaps he would have his own team of scientists isolate and study the substance contained within.)
“I WILL HAVE RETRIBUTION, FLUG!” he vowed before teleporting away.
Flug faltered for a moment, but rushed at the other, needle in hand poised to attack Aku. Whatever thought he had at the mention of being freed was gone, the cruel glint in his eyes promising only pain. The plunged the needle inside of the other’s dark mass and slammed the plunger down.
The liquid was created to subdue anything, even his Master. With Aku being so similar in whatever dark substance Black Hat was made of, it would undoubtedly incapacitate him.
Aku watched in amusement as the little human attacked one of his massive tentacles with the syringe. His darkness had a corrosive effect on metals and it quickly ate away at the syringe needle, but not before most of the stuff had already been injected.
“Don’t you know? Nothing of this world can harm—” And then the pain hit him like a terrible charlie horse. “WHAT?!”
Before the substance could spread any further, Aku separated himself from the effected tentacle much like a lizard breaking free of its tail. The severed tendril writhed in pain and though the rest of Aku’s being was free of the incapacitating substance, he was not free of the pain. He hissed and gnashed his teeth as it continued.
He’d been caught off guard but the yokai wasn’t about to let it happen again. Aku opened his maw and unleashed a great flame in Flug’s direction to drive him back and to return the pain he was experiencing tenfold.
Flug looked down at the floor, then back up at Aku.
“Hey, come to my lab I have something I want to ṣ̺̮͍͘ͅh̢̥̠͙̣o͙̺w̮̟ ͕̮y͏̩̻̥̘̙̱̗o̭͖̲͘u̘̳̪̣͍̣͈.”
“I am afraid I don’t have time for your pitiable attempts to avenge your master,” Aku sighed.
“Then you’d best start running.” He reached into his labcoat withdrawing a syringe. “The second I inject this, you’ll be having the worst day of your life.”
“Heh heh heh heh heh,” Aku’s shoulders rose and fell with his mocking laughter. “Poor little human fool. Is the taste of freedom too strong for your subordinate little mind? Perhaps you would be more comfortable operating beneath a new master.”
