“Odin? Ooooohh I think I’ve heard about him!” Alysa then looked at the poor shivering demon. She felt so bad she proceeded to gently pet his head again.
“I’m sorry that happened to you. But don’t worry, you’re safe here” she said with a warm smile.

Just when he was starting to feel safe, a bright flash of lightning lit up the window followed by a tremendous crash of thunder that shook the entire room and made the lights flicker. Thinking his foe had followed him, Aku slithered beneath the nearest pillow to hide.
“Don’t let him find me!” he pleaded from his hiding spot. It was almost pathetic how terrified he was. Odin, of course, was nowhere to be found.
“Here let me help you in” Alysa grabbed a hold of the exhausted demon and hoisted him into the room. She then gently layed him down on her bed.
“You okay? What happened?” she ask as she gently stroked his head.

The blob of darkness weighed nearly nothing as it was carried and placed on the bed. There, the beleaguered Shogun of Sorrow spread into a small pool of darkness around his frowning face. He didn’t react much to the petting except to shiver a bit—he was still quite frightened.
It took him a moment but finally he spoke, “It was… Odin.” Yes, Odin had happened, that terrible god of hope and heroes. It was no coincidence he had appeared just as Aku was preparing to destroy the Samurai’s accursed sword.
“…His wrath was upon me, but I escaped.” Just barely. Closing his eyes, he lay there exhausted while the deep gash in his being slowly mended itself.

“That is what I intend to find out!” Aku said whilst giving a slight shrug of his shoulders. “And I think your forgetting that I have the abilities to handle whatever the Samurai throws at me, powers that can easily overpower him.”

“Be that as it may, I must warn you not to allow these emotions to cloud your better judgement. The Samurai I know will stop at nothing to destroy me and I suspect he would stop at nothing to slay my daughters. Do not let your own emotions spell your demise.”
*Eek!* Okay, okay! o///o Admittedly it’s a tough call between the flaming facial hair, the inky shadowiness, and your “no sh*ts given” attitude XD

“Ah yes, I can see how you’d envy me that. While the first two things listed are forever beyond your reach, I see no reason why you could not easily attain the third.”
Send some hearts to tell my muse how yours feels about them.

“Not so fast, mortal! Where do you think you’re going without telling the Almighty Aku which of his godly attributes you most envy?”
Send some hearts to tell my muse how yours feels about them.

“Excellent.”

“Although I must wonder how you humans manage to possess both fear and attraction for the same individual. I would have thought evolution would prevent the desire to mate with the things you fear. This seems counterintuitive.”
Alysa jumped at the sudden surprise, but upon closer inspection she realized who it was. “Aku?!”
She quickly opened the window, despite all the rain pouring down hard. She looked down at the shogun, wondering if he was okay.
“A-are you alright??”
The small mass of darkness collapsed onto the windowsill. By now the burning gash had simmered to a dull red and was slowly fading to black. Still, he was in quite a bit of pain from the attack he had faced.

“Ughhhhhhh…” Aku groaned softly. Too exhausted to move, he lay there on the water-soaked windowsill like a formless, half-melted blob.

“Well, one of them has suggested that I decipher whether or not the Samurai has the same reaction to this issue as I have. Yet they have not given me any kind of immediate resolution.”

“Mhhh…” Aku crinkled his nose and squinted his eyes. “And what if his reaction is to draw his sword and cleave your heart in two?”
