“So, what you are saying is become someone nicer. Or perhaps… I should become someone completely different.”

He began to morph then, his form losing its shape as it shrunk down to a much more human size. When the shift was complete, what stood in Aku’s place was a near perfect replica of Samurai Jack.

The colors were a bit off, of course: his skin was a light green, his gi was accented in red rather than purple, and the tips of his hooked fangs protruded from his lips. But overall it was a close match.

“Heh heh heh, what a great idea! Why didn’t I think of that?”

“Wait… Aku’s alive!? Holy sh-” Anon takes down their party decorations as quickly as possible, silently panicking. It does not take them long to remember that they had also helped destroy a few of the so-called “tributes to Aku” that were placed around their town a few days ago. “Yep. I’m dead. We’re all dead. So, very, very dead.” The Anon goes to the fridge and opens a bottle of whiskey “Screw it, I’m going to drink until I pass out. Goodbye, cruel world”.

Aku watched sternly as the pitiful scene unfolded before him, neither moving nor blinking. Aside from the crackle of his flaming brows, all was deathly silent. When the hapless Anon retreated to the fridge, Aku bent to stare through the kitchen window, his enormous eye filling the entire frame.

One look was all it took to shatter the bottle into a thousand pieces just as the mortal was about to sip. Then things began to get a little hot — the fridge started to melt as did the floor and soon the kitchen was an inferno.

But Aku was not finished yet. With a twist of his finger, a tsunami of thick black tar gushed in through the door and windows and up from the ground itself. It easily captured its victim and dragged the anon out on their back to face a world drained of hope. Awaiting them outside was Aku’s monolithic presence, his gaze just as merciless as before.

If the-one-and-only-aku was successful having a giant robot built for them to destroy the samurai maybe you should find the moron who made it for him?

“Mmmmh… if you want to know the truth, I am skeptical that the Samurai is truly gone. Something does not seem right.”

If Jack and Ashi were to get married, make love with each other, and than have kids later on, what would be your 1st response? Because if they get married and start a family, you’ll become Jack’s father in law and a grandfather to Jack’s and Ashi’s kids.

Aku thought about this for exactly 3 seconds.

“I would steal their firstborn child and raise it as my own. Then it would be trained under my EVIL INFLUENCE from the beginning!”

“HAA HAA HAA HAA HAAAAA!”

“Wait, Lord Aku is still alive?!” This peculiar anonymous jumps around with absolute joy before suddenly freezing in its tracks. “But…what am I going to do with this?” Anonymous gestures to a giant monumental gravestone made especially for Aku, complete with a long list of everything great about him. “Aw man…”

Aku readied his eyebeams, prepared to blast away anything that alluded to his death. But then he began to read the engravings and couldn’t help but notice the craftsmanship. It was even shaped like him with six great horns. The glow faded and his eyes returned to normal.

“You have made a grave error assuming I was dead but I will accept this tribute as an apology. …Plus, I think it will look good in my zen garden.”

Sometimes I can still hear his voice :’C

“And it is calling you a fool because I am not dead.”

OOC: What’s your thoughts on the series finale of Samurai Jack and do you think this role play blog can go on even after Aku’s official death?

Second question first! Aku’s canon death won’t stop me from playing him. Sorry, Aku, but you don’t get to rest in pieces yet. I had a couple explanations in mind for this. One was that the effects of time haven’t yet caught up to this Aku. The other explanation (and the one I’m going with) is the good ol “alternate timelines” excuse. This Aku had a “vision” of his demise so he is aware that it happened somewhere in some other timeline.

I really like the idea of Aku going an inter-dimensional-Voldemort route where he splits off parts of himself and scatters them in different points along the spectrum of time or in alternate timelines to ensure his survival. This would have happened immediately after Jack and Ashi jumped into the portal to take Jack back to the past. I was wondering what future!Aku did after he let Jack and Ashi get away and this is what I like to imagine happened.

As for my thoughts on the finale: I have mixed feelings!

To me, the finale itself felt more like Part 1 of a 2 part finale. I think if the team had been given 13 episodes to work with rather than 10, season 5 would have been perfect. I feel like a lot of the pacing issues would have been resolved.

That being said, when you are working with 22 minutes for a finale, every minute is precious and I felt like a lot of time was wasted on things that were cute but ultimately not necessary. However, I did like Mako’s little cameo and thought that was a nice touch.

There are some things I would have done differently if I could design my own finale. I would have shifted to a darker tone about halfway through. I would have let Aku be more competent and a lot scarier. I would have had a scene where Jack and Aku exchange dialogue. I would have had a duel between Jack and Aku. I would have let Ashi live, but in her own timeline. I would have let Aku live, forever imprisoned in sword-dimension with Jack’s righteousness as his constant immortal nemesis. I would have had Jack’s real name written in Kanji somewhere as an Easter egg. I would have had a brief epilogue where an older Jack encounters the Guardian in his new future but we wouldn’t see what happened.

So basically my finale would have lasted 3 hours, oops.
