“Go forth with caution. I do not take kindly to puns of an arboreal nature.”

Nerve: touched. Now he was just seething in silence.

After sitting with arms folded against his chest, the demon finally exploded.
Was it really such a surprise? Aku did indeed fancy the thought of having that kind of power. But in a rather confusing conflict of thought, he felt both guilty and angry. Mostly angry.

“But that does not mean I have plans to take it,” he growled. After all, thoughts and actions were two separate things.

“… Hmph! I know what it is.”
Folding his arms, Aku turned away with nothing further to add.

“Of course not…”
Yes.

Aku rolled his eyes with a growl as he considered whether he should bother to answer…
“They are HORNS. And I am not a tree.”

“I disagree.”
Aku was in no kind of mood for this level of disrespect. One zap of his eyebeams placed the visitor in a stereotypical maid uniform. Then next zap sent them to the Pit of Hate.

“Hmph.”

Unlike last time, Aku was only mildly startled by the sudden intrusion. He rubbed his cheek and grumbled as his other self fled.
“I am beginning to think he enjoys my revenge…”

“I am the Shogun of Sorrow, the Emperor of Evil, the Shapeshifting Master of Earth, AKU.”
He eyed the human before him, gazing coldly down his striped nose. Hadn’t she claimed to be a demon’s vessel or some such?
“And you are what? Azura’s protégé?”
