“Because I am AKU, shape-shifting master of darkness, and I can be any height or size of my choosing.” Clearly, he liked to be as tall and imposing as possible. “What lies beneath me is the Pit of Hate. It is a place of darkness and punishment for those who do not show proper respect to Aku.”
“Perhaps you should find another hot spring to suit yourself.”
Without further ado, the demon lord slid into his side of the hot spring. But as large as he was, Aku took up nearly the whole spring and his tentacles stretched clear across to the other side.
“Yes, I do. It serves many purposes from relaxation to mind control.”
“The name refers to a boastful clown. It suits him well if you ask me.”
Blech!
“Keep him out of my sight.”
Aku knew he’d have to answer this dreaded question someday. Needless to say, he wasn’t especially eager to reply. Stupid Sinday. Turning away, he folded his arms tightly as if to keep to himself as much as he could.
“I will say only this — I am a shapeshifting master who can take any form, shape or size he desires. That’s all you need to know.”
Remember when his future-self was trying to decide on a weapon to kill Jack with? It was that simple.
“I agree. However…”
“I am just as handsome in nothing at all!”

“I hate it.”
“I commit sins each day of the week. I see no reason to dedicate any particular occasion as a Day of Sins.”
I don’t think so. I think they would first be engulfed in black tar, then probably taken to a place where they’d be shackled by tentacles and maybe whipped and beaten. I don’t recall there being an episode that shows the Pit of Hate; it’s always just hinted at being a place of punishment under Aku’s citadel.
