Aku rolled his eyes but pinned his alternate once again with a hard stare.
“I have no romantic interest in our sworn enemy.”
“… And neither do I!”
“ … ”
“I believe that is a lie, friend.”
“There is nothing of the sort.”
An urge came over him to slap his other self across the face but Aku was determined to keep things civil. He closed his eyes briefly… then carried on.
“Whatever the case may be, I have found it extremely easy to toy with your emotions. I daresay it would not be difficult for someone else to use such weakness as leverage against you.
However, after my exchange with Azura, I have decided not to burden myself with further intervention. Your decisions are your own and if they should lead to your downfall, so be it. I shall simply rule in your place if you should die.
In other words, proceed with caution.”
