Not many things could bring Aku to tears, but seeing his daughter slumped tiredly against his mortal enemy with a blue bundle in her arms just struck him harder than any sword ever could.
“A grandson- How joyous!” The demon bellowed, lowering his voice slightly and slinking forward. “And such a handsome face he has. He looks like his grandfather. Me!”
“Father, he was just born.” Ashi groaned, unwrapping the child’s soft, pink face. “He looks like a potato.”
“Darling, hush. Your father is enjoying his glory.” Aku muttered, gently holding out his hands to hopefully hold the newborn.
With a huff, Ashi lowered the child into her father’s much larger hands, watching the little one squirm for a moment before adjusting to the new hold.
Aku had only gazed down at his sleeping face for a moment before big, fat tears began to well up in his eyes from joy.
[ Grandfather Aku would be cute! Although I would imagine he wouldn’t be very happy if Jack was the father lol ]
My Aku would be APPALLED if Jack was the father. At first, he’d be hella pissed and wouldn’t want to have anything to do with any one of them, but at some point I imagine he’d get very curious about the grandbaby. Curious enough to sneak into the baby’s room at night to have a look at it.
After several visits, he might start to grow fond of the grandchild and possibly even kidnap it because… well, Aku is unpredictable like that.
After a fierce battle, the demon lies before you, beaten and weak. You raise your sword with Determination.
You take your sword and hit the Mercy button repeatedly because you’re a weak motherfucker. Then you lay yourself upon the demon, sobbing uncontrollably.
I think he would have a special fondness for each of them but because he has to be extra mindful of Ashi, it might seem like he spends extra time with her. He has ‘unusual’ (aka: fatherly) feelings toward all of them.
Excerpt of Aku fighting monsters in my current rp game (he was allowed to bring Jack’s sword into the game. I just thought it was kinda neat…)
For the Penitent to be taken down, her monstrous minions must be dealt with and kept at bay so they would not interfere with her annihilation. This meant Aku was on distraction duty until his turn at the Penitent came. For her he would save his incinerating lasers — which would easily destroy most of her monsters, but with his powers limited as they were, he would have to deal with them another way. His fire-breath serves him well until he runs out of flame. Crushing the monsters doesn’t stop them and slashing them with his own blades only seems to generate more grotesque limbs. With few options left, he retreats to the top of a rubble pile where the creatures quickly surround him on all sides.
Finally, he’s left with only one choice. Aku reaches down to his hip and draws from its scabbard the sword crafted for his own destruction. He holds it up, the blade gleaming like ice as he gazes coldly upon it. This weapon had been useless in his hands when wielded against the Samurai but perhaps it would allow him to wield it for a greater cause. While the creatures gather below, he quietly addresses the sword: “Old foe, how I have dreamt of destroying you. But here, in the face of total annihilation, I am afraid I must ask for your cooperation. For you see, Samurai, there are fates in this universe far worse than I. Chronoblivion will stop at nothing to see to our world’s demise and if you or I wish to protect our right to exist, we must stand against it united.”
As he glares into the polished steel, he can almost see Jack’s reflection glowering solemnly back at him. He can also see the reflection of a mangled figure rising up behind him. One of the Spoken has scaled the mountain of rubble and holds its burning swords high, prepared to attack. Aku turns around with a sweep of his arm and the monster is sliced cleanly in two by Jack’s blade. Rather than regenerate new masses of tangled limbs from its wounds, the creature’s flesh burns away until it smolders into a heap of ash. But there’s little time to revel in glory because the rest of the horde is charging up the mound after him. For now all he can do is hold his ground against the onslaught of monsters and slice through them one by one.
