Aku was waiting there to greet his other self when he rolled over, a smug grin on his face. Oh yes, he had rolled directly into the trap.

“I call it — r e v e n g e.”  

And then he did the most horrible, most deplorable, most despicable thing he could think of doing. He planted a big kiss on his alternate’s lips.

The shogun was having suspicions already. Before he could react he was met with his alter planting a kiss on his lips.

“GET OUT.” He screeched. “Get out, get out NOW!”

But Aku wasn’t finished tormenting his other self just yet.

Grinning like the devil, he shapeshifted into a serpent and slithered beneath the covers.

“Heh heh heh heh.”

Guess who managed to slip into the bed directly behind him. 

Revenge comes sooner than expected, friend.

He grumbles and turns over his sheets, coming face with his alter

Instead of screaming him out of bed like usual, he stared at him with a hard glare.

“What are you doing.”

“And no one has GREAT FLAMING EYEBROWS like Aku!”

“Yes. YES! All shall bow before the GLORY OF AKU and his 

               M A G N I F I C E N T  EYEBROWS!”

“THOTH!” Aku screamed. Yes, he sees what you did there. “WHAT DID YOU DO? Do you expect me to believe the foolish doctor learned his lesson this quickly!?”

“….My daughter… wanted him to be back to normal. Don’t scream at me, I’m dealing with enough grief over this Aku. He hasn’t learned his lesson, but the way things were turning out, it wouldn’t have been a lesson, to begin with.”

“A crush? You do realize I’m taken, correct? It is not a guise. Despite his evil ways and actual ways of doing the research, the facts are in my files. Do not try to lower my understanding of said matters because you’re in a tantrum.”

He appears in front of him, hands on his ‘hips’ as he stares at him.

“I’m partial to those I enjoy, yes, you have me pegged. Just as you’re partial to those you care about. It’s an emotional struggle over cold logic. If you bothered to clean your ears Aku, you would have heard my statement. I’m placing Azura under my favor now. She won’t be harmed anymore.”

What was with the gods and slobbering excessively over his enemies, granting them special gifts, second chances, endless mercy and the like? But when it came to him? Only scorn and attempted slaughter, even when he was trying to do something good. Aku didn’t understand it and he knew he never would. 

As soon as Thoth appeared before him, the demon averted his eyes and bared his teeth in contempt. Leave it to a god to once again treat him like an inferior being. Keeping his temper in check was quickly becoming a test of his will.

“I heard your words. But you give me no reason to believe them. Will you truly protect Azura or will you bend to the “charms” of your precious friend?” Aku sneered, turning away once more.

“I suggest you learn the errors of your ways, Thoth. And do it quickly. Before he takes from you what you hold most dear and destroys it.”

Without a glance back, the demon took his leave and disappeared.
