I doubt this’ll be a thing that’ll happen(Unless it is a planned thing), but… Man, wouldn’t it be sad if Aku an’ the Powerpuff Girls became good friends and then — OH CRAP, Jack found a way back to the past! ~Fades from existence~

teacupballerina:

I WOULD NEVER DO THAT

because I don’t actually think Ashi faded from existence, just back to her own timeline. Which is why I think Aku never attempted permanent time travel himself, because he knows it would be a temporary escape into a different world to which he does not belong. hint.

Also because that would be super anticlimactic and I can write far more depressing shit imo.

i literally tear up in pain when i play the ending in my head

I don’t know whether to be relieved or worried.

The creature once again appeared from the darkness, this time moving much faster than before. She had no escape. Whimpering, the little girl curled into a ball, praying it would be over quickly. Suddenly, a great rush of wind came from over head, and both Ashi and the creature looked up. It was some kind of dragon! The great creature roared, the sound so loud it made the ground shake. The dragon landed, enshrouding the black-haired girl with its wings. Was this creature going to eat her too? She couldn’t see much underneath the leathery wings, but she could feel the intense heat of fire above her. A very familiar voice roared at the lizard, so loud Ashi could feel the sound pounding in her chest.

“Father?” she whimpered, her voice cracking.

Aku watched the creature flee through narrowed eyes. He would have absolutely annihilated it if not for the possibility that his impressionable daughter might think her father was an even bigger monster. At the sound of her voice, he raised himself out of his protective crouch to look down upon her.

“Yes, Ashi, it is I,” answered Aku as he looked her over. She didn’t appear to have been bitten but nevertheless, he lowered his head and pressed his snout against her, nostrils flaring as he sniffed. Aside from some blood on her chin and tears on her cheeks, she didn’t look injured. Aku wasn’t sure what came over him next but it compelled him to lick the blood and tears off her face with a single swipe of his dragon tongue. Then, he raised his head and took a stern tone.

“Now that you have discovered the dangers of the forest, I hope you will think twice about venturing into them alone.”
