“Yeah. I guess I am afraid.” she acknowledged. “Afraid of being tied to someone I’m not sure about.” she shifted to settle against the tree again.

“You don’t have to worry about anything like that. Makes sense it wouldn’t quite click.”

As she settled back against the tree, thoughts of darkness would once again creep at the edges of her mind. Visions of being trapped in the earth and glimpses of creatures being dragged into viscous black mud. Dinosaurs, humans, other critters. Nothing alive was safe.

Marriage, love, commitment. It is all meaningless nonsense to Aku.’ The demon had never known love and didn’t care to know it. But he was bored enough to consider Casper’s situation. His mind could use the stimulation.

What’s so bad about saying No?’ he asked.

Classical Alignment Test

Your Result: Neutral Evil 81%

You are the more sane evil, at least compared to Lawful Evil zealots and Chaotic Evil morons. You are in it for yourself, and to undermine everyone else. After all, he who strikes first succeeds first. You see both law and anarchy as equally useless, and prefer somewhere in the middle. You are the most likely Evil to change to another alignment.

Chaotic Evil: 81%

Lawful Evil: 45%

Chaotic Neutral: 35%

Neutral: 3%

“If being asked if I want to get married isna curse. I took it and hid it after telling him ‘i’ll think about it’.” she said making air quotes. “I don’t know. Just. I could say no, but then what? Ugh.”

It took the demon a moment to understand what she was talking about. He’d been around long enough to know of the human tradition of marriage though he still didn’t see the point of it. The symbolism of the ring, he gathered, was to mark one person as the other’s property, or some such.

Ohhhhhh,’ he said after a moment as if the confusion had cleared. ‘I think I understand. You are afraid of holy matrimony. I do not see the point of it, if you ask me. Perhaps it is because you humans live such short lives that you must make a big deal out of everything, even when it is nothing.’

Humans sure did like excuses to throw parties, that was for sure. Fools.

Azura stared at the charm for a moment, before it settles into her opened palms. It may be tiny, but it did gave her an advantage to properly fight the doctor back, and his horrible mutt when it mattered. She frowned.

“I wish I didn’t have to use it,” she said sadly. “But it helped when it did and I’m sorry that I lost it, sir.” She ran her fingers softly on its glassy surface, half heartedly praying that the next time she wore this, it would remain as simply an accessory. And nothing more.

So it had been helpful to her. Aku was pleased to hear that. Very pleased. He leaned back with a proud smile and raised his hand to her, palm facing out as if to halt Azura’s words mid-sentence.

Now now, there is no need for apology,” he said. “It is there for you to use whenever you need and I will gladly replace it as many times. What matters most is that you continue living your life, however mortal it may be.

Or immortal. It was hard to tell these days but in 50 years they would know.

Ashi happily returned her father‘s hug, letting him left her off the ground a bit. “I feel fine,” she answered, noticing Aku’s concerned look. Did she seem sick? “And things have been great here! I was really unsure of myself at first, but things are starting to fall into place. The farms are producing record high amounts of crops, and the workers’ morale has increased since I arrived. Within a few months, I think we’ll even be able to open a few factories for food processing! I have all the numbers on file, but, ah, I doubt you’re interested in hearing about all that…”

Yes, yes, I’ve seen all that,” he said. And while Ashi might have found it encouraging, Aku did not see the value in such unimportant things as mortals thriving. “But I see no statues, no tributes built in your honor.”

lord-aku:

unspeakablyevil:

The demon lord crouched down beside his recumbent counterpart and scooped him up into his arms, bridal-style.

If you’re gonna lie on the floor, at least do it somewhere nice,” he grinned. In an instant Aku teleported both himself and his alternate to a new location. It was a pristine, white-sand beach beside a warm, cerulean sea. And the best part of all? It was completely desserted.

Much better.

Aku let out a huff as the alternative scooped him up; allowing the other to carry him and grumbling to himself.

“I can walk you know.” He muttered bitterly. Although while being teleported to an unknown place he start to slowly relax in his embraced, at least he doesn’t have to sleep on the floor. “Why are we here?”

Because I can,” he answered, imitating his other self. Still holding his sleepy counterpart in his arms, Aku rose higher into the cloudless sky.

And because I can do this!” Suddenly, he dove straight down to the rolling waves and the two of them hit the water with a tremendous splash.

As it shattered, everything inside of her BURNED. Blood began to drip down her nose as a painful transformation began to take place. Pitch black energy surrounded the teen as her once normal skin began to seep with black veins. For a split moment, she looked up at Aku with a frightened expression, a silent plea to kill her if she dare hurt Azura or anyone else who mattered to her. Resolve soon took over as she silently accepted her fate. When the pitch black smoke cleared, what stood in Cinder’s place was no longer human.

Aku watched with a dark grin as the transformation took place. Ever since Cinder had spoke of this demon inside of her, he had been curious to see it for himself. And now, as the smoke cleared, he was finally able to see what mystical beast the girl had feared.

Gazing down at the shadowy creature, Aku’s voice broke the silence.

Greetings, demon. Tell me how you are feeling.

lord-aku:

unspeakablyevil:

Yes, I can see that.” Aku rolled his eyes. “But why are you not in bed?”

“Because.” He said while stretching. “I can, does there need to be a reason now?”
